Patti and I went to chemo training today...found out a lot of good info. Had my cat scan and they made a mold of my head and chest. They do this so I won't be able to move when I am getting my radiation. Oh yea! I FINALLY got my FIRST tattoo. It is right in the middle of my chest and do I look GOOD! Just Kidding, actually I did get a tattoo, but it is about the size of a pencil led. It is a permant mark on my skin so the radiation machine is always at the same spot when I have my treatments. Also found out today that I have to go to yet ANOTHER specialist...this time it is a liver specialist. I think the doctors have this plan to send me to as many specialists as possible so they can make their car payments this month..tee hee. Tomorrow I will be picking up my nausea and steroid medicine (there is a third but I can't remember now what it is for). The one medication had to be sent in from elsewhere so I couldn't pick it up today. As for my radiation and chemo start date...it looks as if I will begin treatment on September 23. This will give the doctors time to get all the other issues taken care of and checked out before I start. I am feeling much better today than I have been the last few days; however, I am ready to get the treatments started so I can get back to teaching the kids and flipping houses. I want to let all my family and friends know how much their thoughts and prayers have meant to me. Also, I am sending a big hug to my sister, Cindy. She started her chemo today and another to my sister, Sue. She is making great strides everyday. Last, but not least, I want to let my very special neices and nephews know how very much they mean to me. I may not be able to see you as much as I would like, but you are never far from my heart. Love you all.
