Well, Thursday I had my port put in. It is on the left side of my chest next to my collar bone and it is right under the skin...kinda weird, but not too noticeable. I went to the hospital around 9:00 a.m; however, I didn't get into surgery until around 12:00. My mother-in-law, Evie, sat with me all day cause Patti had to go to work. The doctor said I was going to be very sore...which I am. I am having a hard time even moving my left arm, but it should start feeling better by the weekend. I am still on track to start treatment on Wednesday....and I am READY. I did have some good news. I had many other tests done last week and found out all but one came back good. There is still some issues with my liver, so they ordered another test. They are being very thorough because the chemo will take a toll on my liver. I want to thank EVERYONE that has been sending me well-wishes and taking the time to say a little prayer. It has meant so much to me.

  1. It all sounds very positive to me. Can't wait until this is just a speck in the rearview mirror, and it will be!
